In all endings, you'll be the faction leader of the faction you assist. All minor faction endings are dealt with on a case by case basis. The main story concludes in such a vague way to make-up for the Fallout 3 ending, where you conclude the stories of all the various factions. In the game files, the endings are "Endgame_FEMALE_A.bk2" and "Endgame_FEMALE_B.bk2" and of course, a male counterpart for each. If you want to do side-quests for all four factions, then you’ll need to do them before you conclude the main story. The only impact is the state the world is in afterwards and who you can and can’t do questions for. Since it's just a radiant quest I reloaded my game until I understand exactly what I'm getting into.All roads lead to one cutscene, which only varies slightly. I checked map on my pip-boy, and still see the supply lines and it appears that I still "own" the settlement. Some folks complain they cannot built/modify the settlement at this point, but I had zero problems giving orders or building/moving turrets/walls/furniture/whatever however, I did not try this after returning to the Proctor, only immediately after making the deal. I googled around and did not find a definitive answer - just lots of speculation and confusion on Reddit and Steam forums.

When I went to my settlement, I spoke to the indicated settler, and passed an easy persuade check to convince him to donate food to the BoS. I started a radiant quest for the Proctor to requisition supplies from one of my settlements. As leader of the Minutemen, I already had control of a dozen settlements or so before I joined the Brotherhood of Steel.
